Editing Sensi 98 : The Basics
EDITING S98

ADVANCED EDITING
IMPORTANT : ALWAYS MAKE A BACK-UP OF YOUR DATA
FILES BEFORE YOU DO ANY EDITING, AS SLIGHT MISTAKES CAN CAUSE
THE GAME TO CRASH!
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
Firstly you need to have Sensi FULLY installed,
because otherwise the teams are read from the CD.
Secondly you will need a "Hex Editer".
If you hunt around the web, you will easily find a good one
for free. If it's any help, the English Club Edition patch was
created and is updated using "Hex Wizard".
And finally, you will need a lot of patience because
it can be quite a slow process until you get into the swing
of things.
WHERE DO YOU START?
Open up your Hex Editer, and then use it to open
up the Sensi 98 data file (SSData.dat) which you will find in
the following directory :
\Sensible Software\Sensible Soccer European Club
Edition\Std\Data\Game data
Obviously there may be variations depending on
where you chose to install your copy of the game.
NOW WHAT?
Well, now you will be presented with a whole lot
of numbers and figures. At first these will all seem very meaningless
and complicated, but before long you will be able to read what
each piece of information means and be able to edit it to your
advantage.
