29/07/02 : What has happened to Purple?!
You may have noticed that the updates to Purple have dried
up somewhat recently. Don't worry, I haven't just given up or
lost interest, but there are a few reasons which mean that unfortunately
Purple can no longer be updated as frequently as in the good old
days.
1.) Theres nothing to update! - All things Sensible are pretty
quiet at the moment. Codemasters don't seem particularly interested
in beginning any Sensible projects.
2.) Other projects - I am currently working on a number of other
projects away from Purple. Other websites, learning new skills,
looking for jobs etc etc.
Anyway, I hope you will all continue to visit and look around
Purples vast archives. Forever will it stand as a tribute to everything
that Sensible Software ever did.
I will however, try and keep abreast of the latest happenings
in the Sensible world, and keep my news pages a little more up
to date than they have been of present.
29/07/02 : SWOS Gameboy Advance Petition Gathers Pace
After this site launched a petition for a new SWOS, Matt Sephton
launched a second petition to get SWOS released on the Gameboy
advance. With some excellent promotional work, and mentions on
some high profile games sites, the petition has really gathered
pace. If you want to see SWOS on the gameboy, visit the official
petition site. The link can be found on this sites links pages,
and you may have noticed the banner on the front page. However,
don't let it put you off signing the petition here at Purple!
29/07/02 : World SWOS Tournament 2002 - Preparations begin!
Lowrence and co. of the brilliant SWOS Witnesses have begun
preparations for the second world SWOS tournament in Backa Palanka,
Yugoslavia. Check out his site for more details and all the latest
news, but be quick because the tournament is due to start on August
3rd!!
29/07/02 : SWOS, as popular as ever!
It seems SWOS is still as popular as it ever has been with
new sites springing up all over the place. I haven't had chance
to visit most of them yet, but over the coming weeks, I will endeavour
to rate or slate :-) them and add them to my links pages. If you
own a new site, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I will
do my best to check your site out!
29/07/02 : Another Sensi clone attempt comes and goes
Following hot in the footsteps of Simple Soccer and a few other
less succesful attempts is another effort at cloning SWOS. This

. Sadly, it looks as though it may have died already, unless the
guy can find someone to take over the project - are you that person?!
