27/01/2001 : Stoo Cambridge Speaks to Purple
I have recently been contacted by former Sensible Software member
Stoo Cambridge recently. He had found my site by chance
and expressed his gratitude for Purple's appreciation of Sensible's
efforts. He also kindly offered to answer a few questions, so
expect a report of the interview to follow shortly
23/01/2001 : SWOS Back In The Shops!
I'm not sure if this is old news, but SWOS is back in UK shops,
as part of a compilation entitled Life x 4 (I think). Electronics
Boutique are selling it for the ridiculously cheap price of
8 english pounds, so if you don't have a copy, get down there
and buy it now!!
17/1/2001 : Sex 'n' Drugs On TV!
Any of you who watched channel 4's late night games program
"Bits" may have been surprised to see that Sex 'n'
Drugs 'n' Rock 'n' Roll made a rather dramatic appearance. In
a look at some of the most controversial games, the program
featured graphic scenes from SnDnRnR, including one of someone
being given a B*** J** whilst hung dead, nailed to St Davids
cross. Now, that's what I call controversy!!!Oh but come on,
how much do you want to play that game now!! - be honest!
17/01/2001 : LOWRENCE Storms Ahead in Superleague
There's just no stopping the man, is there? Lowrence, webmaster
of possibly the most successful site of 2000, proves he hasn't
neglected his SWOS skills, in order to maintain his site, as he
storms ahead at the top of the superleague. See the superleague

6/1/2001 : Superleague Deadline
You have only one week left to enter the Purple '01 SWOS Superleague
for December. After this time, I will simply not have the time
to update the league, so if you want to enter this excellent Christmas
Special compo, get your file back to me no later than the 12th

6/1/2001 : Latest SWOS 2K News
Codemasters latest response to the burning issue of whether
we will ever get another SWOS is : "We have no plans
at the moment to release a sequel to Sensible Soccer, but do
not rule out possible sequels in the future"
On a further note, they now have an automated E-Mail replyer,
so when you bug them with you're questions and demands for SWOS,
they are infact taking no notice, as it is a machine that is
reading and replying to your E-Mails. So much for customer service.

Hello, and welcome to the latest in a long line of Purple
sites. I hope you like the new design. All comments, as ever,
are welcome. You'll find a link to my E-Mail address at the
bottom of every page.
As a lot of changes have been made, there is the possibility
of broken links. If you find any, PLEASE REPORT THEM TO ME so
I can fix them ASAP!

Finally, Gameboy Cannon Fodder is here! It is said to be
a real landmark for Gameboy gaming. For more information, see

1/1/2001 : New SWOS Sites
Just when it seemed like SWOS was dead, we find more and
more new sites cropping up. Who would have thought, that over
6 years after it's original release, new sites are still cropping
up. What other game commands such a following? Rags To Riches,
and SWOS Belgium are the two latest. Check them out on the links
pages.
1/1/2001 : World SWOS Tournament
SWOS Witnesses Webmaster, LOWRENCE has organised is organising
a massive World SWOS Tournament, to take place in Yugoslavia,
some time in the new year. All SWOS fans are welcome to take
part, all you have to do is get yourself there, and they'll
