THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT - 27/2/1999
I'd just like to say thank you to anyone who has supported the
SOS campaign, by signing the message board. Hopefully, these
messages will be passed on to Jon Hare, very soon. Unfortunately
we have had a pretty cold reception from magazines so far (ie
- we haven't heard from any of them yet). But with continued
support from the fans, who knows what we can achieve. if you
have not yet signed the SOS message board, or don;t know what
I'm talking about, go here NOW :http://www.lemars.freeserve.co.uk/swos/sos.html
SECOND BEST SPORTS GAME OF '98 - 27/2/1999
Sensible Soccer European Club Edition has been voted as the
second best sports game of the year by Ultimate PC readers.
I think we can all guess what was at number one. It seems odd,
though that all these magazines and their readers are showering
the title with accolades, whereas it didn't even hit the top
ten in the charts. Bizarre!
CANNON FODDER CLINGS ON! - 27/2/1999
Amazingly, Cannon Fodder has clung on for a second month inside
the top ten for budget games. The bargain price of £4.99 will
obviously help, but this is an incredible achievement for what
is a pretty old game. It just goes to show that good gameplay
never dies.
SENSI WORLD CUP PRICES SLASHED AGAIN -
27/2/1999
Perhaps the success of budget Cannon Fodder has rubbed off onto
Sensible Soccer World Cup '98 which can now be found for a measly
£4.99 in a leading games store. Although it's not half the game
Sensi Euro Club Edition is, this is an absolute bargain for
anyone who wants to try out the new Sensi. Especially seen as
I payed thirty quid for my copy!
NEW ENGLAND UPDATE AVAILABLE - 27/2/1999
Crispin Boylin has been hard at work producing a new update
file for SWOS. The file updates the Spanish, Scottish, English,
and Italian leagues, and is very good and accurate. Download
it from his SWOS site, which you can find here: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~viewtronix/
PLAYSTATION SENSI SCRAPES INTO THE CHARTS
- 15/2/1999
Amazingly, Playstation Sensi '98 has scraped it's way into the
top ten games sold at Virgin superstores. The much slated, terribly
converted Playstation version of a game, which PC owners seemingly
either love or hate, scrambled into the chart at number nine.
Obviously there's a lot of sentimental old fools out there (which
would of course include me, if I had a Playstation)
SITE POPULARITY SOARS!!- 13/2/1999
I am proud to announce that the popularity of Sensi-Sational,
and in particular, Ultimate SWOS, has soared over the past few
weeks. It could partly be put down to me figuring in a couple
of search engines, but it's nice to see my hard work paying
off.
It seems to be a bit of a trend across most of the SWOS sites,
so perhaps Amiga Power's bold statement ('It's the best
there is and people will still be playing it in 50 years time")
might actually turn out to be true!
MILLENIUM PRIZE- 13/2/1999
I've decided to offer a small (but cool) prize to whoever tops
the 'Goal of the century' chart at the turn of the year 2000
(providing the computer bug doesn't cause a global apocolypse!!).
So, get sending your goals in!!
