    News : August 2000

    BUY SWOS NOW!! - (13/8)
After hours of painful searching, I finally found a site that is offering SWOS for sale. It is SWOS Euro 96 to be precise, and it is available at a ridiculously expensive £24(+), but hey, it's better than nothing!! Go to this site: http://www.softwarezone.com

Also, you can buy Sensi Soccer 98 Euro Club Edition at : http://www.gamesparadise.com

CODEMASTERS TO ANNOUNCE PS2 TITLES IN 1 MONTH - (12/8)
Codemasters are set to unveil titles which they will be producing for the Playstation 2 in around a months time.
So what?, you may be thinking, well it is possible, although, admittedly, it is straw clutching at its best, that this is the time they announce SWOS 2000.

WAVE TO THE CODIES!! - (8/8)
Raise your hands and join me in a cyber-wave to the Codemasters and their crew as through recent correspondance, I have been led to believe that people from Codemasters are/have been checking out my site. This is either:
a.) Good news because they are trying to keep intouch with Sensible fans, their views, and what they want or....
b.) Bad news because they are checking up on me because they don't like what I'm doing - ie me talking about their recent "projects".
If anyone from Codemasters happens to be reading this now, can I just say, that I hope "b" isn't true and that you can see that I am only trying to do the best by Sensible and it's fans. However if you do have a problem with any of the content of my site, I will happily listen to your comments and remove/alter the offending material.

    BABES BEATEN IN THRILLER!!- (5/8)
The Celebrity Challenge has taken place and the Webmasters XI were victorious in what turned out to be a thrilling match. Full match details, and, of course, more fantastic pictures coming soon to the Sensi 98 section!

    GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS - (5/8)
I have received both good and bad news in the last few days. Unfortunately PC-SWOS for download is not going to happen, as Codemasters are adamant that they want to retain the rights for their back-catalogue of Sensi's games, which I suppose is understandable. I suppose this also means an end to any hopes of "Open SWOS" ever becoming more than just a concept.

However, through the same negotitations (which incidentally were made by Paul Turner), the Codies admitted they were "working on exciting projects involving games such as SWOS" which to my mind all but confirms that SWOS 2K is going to happen.

    MAGIC IS BACK- (5/8)
A warm welcome to Magic SWOS, which is back on the 'net after a long absence. I like this site, somehow it just manages to be very different from other SWOS sites, and with those nostalgic SWOS fonts, it just feels very SWOS like. It's new design is very tidy and easy on the eye, so be sure to give it a visit, it's in the SWOS links page. Oh, and be sure to mention that Phil sent you!!

GB CANNON FODDER DELAYED - (2/8)
Gameboy Cannon Fodder, scheduled for release in July, has been delayed. The game is still in developement and is now set for release in October.

SWOS 2K NEWS COMING SOON (1/8)
Check this page over the next few days for more details regarding the new Sensble Soccer that is in the early stages of developement. I should be receiving news of the latest progress shortly.

    MAGIC SWOS BACK SOON! (1/8)
I told you it would happen, and indeed it is (happening, that is), Magic SWOS, a site which I like a lot, is to be relaunched this week Yay!, See this space for more details!

KRING IS KING AFTER MONTH ONE(1/8)
Kasper Kring is sitting pretty at the top of the SWOS Superleague chart after month one, but my, is it close. Check out the superleague pages in the SWOS section for more info.

    SENSI 98 SUPERLEAGUE DEADLINE EXTENDED(1/8)
As, I have only received one entrant for the Sensi 98 superleague, I have decided to extend the deadline, to the end of this month, in the vain hope that my Sensi 98 site promotion scheme will re-generate some interest in the game.

    PC SWOS FOR DOWNLOAD? (1/8)
Paul Turner, of Sensi-SuperStar fame, is currently "in negotiations" with Codemasters over the possibility of making a full version of PC-SWOS available for download. Due to the difficulty encountered by many trying to get hold of this game, I am, taking the controversial step of throwing my support behind this idea, because it is a shame so many people aren't able to play this game because they cant get hold of it. Again, watch this space for further developements.

ENIGMA TO LAUNCH COMEBACK BID? (1/8)
The further delay of the Celebrity challenge match between the Webmasters XI, and the Babes XI, details of which can be found in the Sensi 98 section, is playing right into the hands of crocked footballing superstar, the ENIGMA.

"The extra time is definitely a bonus. The ankle feels fine now, and it's just a case of building up some match fitness. Hopefully I should be OK to play some part, but, even if I'm not, this is one match I'm sure I'll enjoy spectating!!"

the ENIGMA took part in a 5-a-side friendly match this evening, and looked to be struggling for form and fitness. Phil Marsay, manager of the Webmasters XI is expected to start with the ENIGMA on the bench, but admits he will probably play some part.

The match is due to take part in a secret location, when sunny weather returns to British shores. Watch this space.
