Codemasters silence angers frustrated SWOS fans

It's over a month now since the shambolic release mess up of SWOS on Xbox live arcade. On the whole, SWOS has been well received, but a couple of online bugs are starting to drive Sensi purists away in their droves.

Incase you don't know what I am talking about, head over to the official forums and you will see what I mean. But to summarise, there are two main issues, both concerning the Xbox Live element of the game - I don't think you'll find anyone complaining that offline, the game is a flawless conversion.

    1. Headers and tackling when not in possession
When playing a live game, the slightest of game lag present causes headers and tackles to not register when you are not in control of the ball. Thus making it almost impossible to stop any decent players from scoring.

    2. Quitters!
Theres no penalty for quitting a game half way through - so, if you're losing 3-0 at half time, just quit! It's hardly a very fair thing to do, but theres plenty of people out there doing it - and getting away with it!!

Irritating as these issues are though, it's not really the bugs that's causing the most frustration. It's Codemasters complete and utter lack of correspondance or acknkowledgement of the issue.

Unfortunately, it's something that is so typical of them. It took them over two months to come up with a statement as to why the original release was delayed. One and a half months since the debacle of the release, and we are still none-the-wiser as to what went wrong. Not even an official apology from Codemasters for that one. Some people seemed to quickly forget about that when the release finally made it up amidst all of the excitement... well codies.... some of us haven't forgotten!!

And now, yet more silence. Despite constant barrage of posts on the forum, not even a simple response saying "we're working on it". Codemasters, your lack of respect for your customers is simply apalling. I'm sure we all - somewhere deep down - want to thank you for trying to make SWOS a success - but you've made so many wrong turns, that it's just getting beyond a joke.

I would also just like to question how these bugs got past Codemasters QA? I'm sure if they had some proper SWOS players testing things before release (and there would have been plenty of willing volunteers!) that these problems would have been very quickly picked up - and fixed by the development team.

    Codemasters.... WE WANT SOME ANSWERS!!!!
